Amy Meyer, LPCC

Amy works with children (12 and under) and their families to support emotional regulation, trauma recovery, ADHD, anxiety, and early developmental needs through playful, relationship-based therapy.

Watching your child struggle is one of the hardest things a parent can experience. I’m here to partner with you in understanding what’s going on beneath the surface and to help your child feel more confident, connected, and emotionally equipped. If your child is struggling with big emotions, difficult behaviors, or stressful life changes, it can be hard to know how to help. I offer therapy for children and families that’s playful, engaging, and grounded in emotional safety, because growth can begin when kids feel seen, supported, and understood.

I specialize in working with children ages 12 and under who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum traits, trauma, anger, emotional dysregulation, or self-esteem challenges.  I enjoy teaching kids about emotions and calming strategies, helping process stressful or traumatic experiences, teaching social-emotional awareness, and providing guidance to parents. I also provide parent guidance and support, helping caregivers feel more confident and connected in their parenting.

Whether we’re learning calming strategies, building emotional awareness, or processing tough experiences, I approach each child with curiosity, empathy, and creativity. My background includes teaching emotion regulation, social-emotional skills, and supporting early developmental needs, always in collaboration with the child’s natural strengths and the family’s values.

As a parent, you might feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start and that’s okay. I’ll help make this process feel manageable and meaningful, every step of the way. Feel free to reach out for a free consultation to see if I’d be a good fit for you and your family.
