Lindsey Bender, MHP, provides support for individuals struggling or looking for support with Anxiety & Depression, Bi-Racial & Multiracial Identity Support, Life Transitions & Stress, Self-Esteem & Identity Formation, Family & Peer Relationship Stress, and Women’s Issues.
If you’re feeling unsettled, emotionally insecure, or facing big changes and unsure of what comes next, you’re not alone. I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you’re trying to navigate it all without a clear sense of direction.
In addition to supporting clients through life transitions, I hold a special place in my heart for working with bi-racial individuals. Growing up bi-racial in a predominantly white community, I know what it’s like to feel out of place and carry questions about identity that don’t have easy answers. It can be confusing, lonely, and deeply exhausting. That’s why I’m passionate about creating space and language for the unique challenges we face. If you’re a person of color seeking a therapist who truly understands that part of your story, I’d be honored to walk that path with you.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling invisible, unsure, or never “enough”, I offer a mutually respectful space where you can feel valued, respected, and validated.
My approach to therapy is empowering, partnered, and rooted in helping you reconnect with the strengths you already carry. I work with young adults (16+) and individuals as they navigate stress, significant life changes, and low self-worth. If you’ve been wanting to feel more confident in your own skin, we’ll work together to explore what’s been getting in the way and create space for clarity, healing, and growth.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and our two cats, biking, rock picking, hanging by the water, listening to music, or relaxing with a good movie.
Inclusivity and representation matter deeply to me. I want you to feel comfortable no matter where you’re coming from.
I currently offer in-person sessions at our Burnsville and St. Paul locations, along with telehealth options. If you’re ready to begin this journey, I’d love to support you.
